Biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics are essential disciplines in pharmaceutical development, as they help to ensure that drugs are delivered to the body in a safe and effective manner. The physicochemical properties of a drug, such as its solubility, stability, and permeability, can significantly impact its bioavailability and therapeutic efficacy. Similarly, the ADME properties of a drug can influence its pharmacokinetic profile, which in turn affects its dosing regimen, efficacy, and safety.
Biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics are two closely related fields that play a crucial role in the development and evaluation of pharmaceutical products. Biopharmaceutics deals with the study of the physicochemical properties of drugs and their dosage forms, while pharmacokinetics involves the study of the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) of drugs in the body. In recent years, there has been a growing interest in the publication of research articles and reviews on biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics, particularly in the context of pharmaceutical development and regulatory approval.

The FLR project has been developing and providing fishery scientists with a powerful and flexible platform for quantitative fisheries science based on the R statistical language. The guiding principles of FLR are openness, through community involvement and the open source ethos, flexibility, through a design that does not constraint the user to a given paradigm, and extendibility, by the provision of tools that are ready to be personalized and adapted. The main aim is to generalize the use of good quality, open source, flexible software in all areas of quantitative fisheries research and management advice.
Development code for FLR packages is available both on Github and on R-Universe. Bugs can be reported on Github as well as suggestions for further development.
