The story revolves around Raja (played by Rajinikanth), a charming and witty Tamil Nadu native who travels to England in search of a job. There, he meets Shobhna (played by Sridevi), a beautiful and educated Indian woman who is working as a servant in an English household. Despite their cultural differences, they fall in love, and Raja decides to take Shobhna back to India to meet his family.

However, things take a hilarious turn when Raja’s family, led by his mother (played by Hema Malini), is shocked to learn that Raja has brought back a “memsaheb” (a term used to refer to a Westernized Indian woman). The family’s reaction is a mix of confusion, amusement, and embarrassment, leading to a series of comedic events.

The film’s music, composed by Jatin-Lalit, is another highlight. The soundtrack features some catchy and memorable songs, including “Chal Chal Ke Tera Ho Gaya” and “Mere Rashmo Qara”. The dance sequences, choreographed by Saroj Khan, are equally impressive, with Sridevi and Rajinikanth showcasing their impressive dance skills.
